The title race is back!
Manchester United 4 - 4 Everton - Perfect crosses, glorious goals, last minute wonder saves, free flowing football and constant drama. Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the Premier League!
Probably the best 45 minutes of football seen in a long, long time. The second half was a demonstration of Premier League football at its finest, although La Liga may be dominating Europe and played at superior technical level, the passion displayed today is incomparable. By the 70th minute United were playing like champions, cruising with a 4-2 victory under their control. But the opponent never gave up and after Evra unluckily hit the post, they scored 2 late goals in two minutes to equalize a thrilling encounter. Unbelievable, unimaginable; but certainly not unexpected.
Both sides played with the objective to the win where Welbeck was sublime combining effectively with Rooney who became United’s 4th all time top scorer. The men in blue were equally magnificent with Jelavic consistently tormenting, Fellaini powerfully performing like a king and experienced right back Hibbert crossing like Beckham. United had the chances to win, but their amateur defending cost them another 2 crucial points. On the other side of the field, credit must be awarded to David Moyes and his tireless Everton team who displayed infinite collective determination.
The title race is pumping again and Ferguson is fuming as his Manchester United have accumulated 1 point from their last two matches, but they’re still in the lead. Now the attention focusses on the Molineux Stadium where Wolves host Manchester City. In theory, this is an easy win for the visitors or will the Premier League spark another Sunday surprise? [posted by DV]

Jeremy Lin – “Hard work and Perseverance”
Jeremy Lin sent his tapes to all the Ivy league schools and his dream school UCLA. With Harvard and Brown being the only teams that guaranteed him a spot on their basketball teams, but Ivy League schools do not offer athletic scholarships and he chose to attend Harvard. After going undrafted Lin joined the Dallas Mavericks for mini-camp as well as their NBA Summer League team in Las Vegas. On July 21, 2010, Lin signed a two-year deal with his hometown Warriors, his favorite team growing up. Lin’s deal was partially guaranteed for 2010-11, and the Warriors held a team option for the second season. On December 9, 2011, the Warriors waived Lin on the first day of training camp after the 2011 NBA lockout. On December 12, 2011, Lin was claimed off waivers by the Houston Rockets. He was waived by the Rockets before the start of the 2011–12 season on December 24, 2011, so they could sign center Samuel Dalembert. The New York Knicks claimed Lin off waivers on December 27 after an injury to guard Iman Shumpert. Lin had a career night on February 4, 2012, when he scored 25 points, grabbed 5 rebounds, and dished out 7 assists (against only 1 turnover) in a 99-92 Knicks victory over the Nets. The statistics for points, rebounds, and assists were all career highs for Lin. After the game, Knick coach Mike D’Antoni, while being interviewed by the MSG Network, said Lin has a point-guard mentality and “a rhyme and a reason for what he is doing out there.” In the subsequent game against the Utah Jazz, Lin had 28 points and eight assists, new career highs. On February 10, 2012, Lin scored a new career high 38 points and had seven assists, leading the Knicks in their victory over the Los Angeles Lakers with a score of 92–85. He scored 89 points in his first three career starts, the most by any player since the merger between the American Basketball Association (ABA) and the NBA in 1976-77.
Jeremy Lin’s hard work and perseverance is an inspiration to all of us here at Sportrait and will strive to make sure young athletes have an opportunity to be the next Jeremy Lin!

Sportrait would like to introduce to you our Logo and Icon creator Peter Agardy from PeterAgardyFineArt.com. Peter is a proud supporter of the Sportrait.me project who took time out to create our logo and icon. We will be doing a lot more with Peter in the future. Below is a Bio on Peter.
As a 4th generation floridian, Peter is influenced by his natural surroundings from the ocean to the great outdoors. Growing up an avid fisherman and surfing the waters of Florida, Bahamas and other exotic locations, Peter gained a lifelong passion for nature, the sea, and it’s beautiful preditors and creatures. Coming from a family line of fishermen, artists and painters, he felt naturally driven to pursue and explore marine art. Early on, he quickly pursued drawing, painting, creating imagery and illustration from the world around him.
After graduating from Florida Atlantic University with a Fine Arts degree in December 2008, and working as an artist throughout, Peter has continued to succeed in bringing his view and experiences to life onto canvases and wall spaces. Peter has recently been working with cities across South Florida with their Art in Public Places programs helping bring large scale murals to the community, while at the same time always finding time to express his visions on canvas as well.
“I have always meshed whatever surrounding forces are driving me into the body of work I’m doing. Sometimes my work lends itself to different areas of importance in my life, whether that be my lifestyle on the ocean, or my place in nature, which I live and paint into one body of life’s work ” -Peter
Peter has exhibited his work in various Galleries and venues around South Florida since 2007 and debuted his first solo exhibition at Eaton Fine Art in West Palm Beach in September 2010, which solidified his statement of work and shed light on his vivid wild imagery.
Peter has recently teamed up with the apparel company Shore Thing, and launched ‘The Peter Agardy Signature Series’ a line of shirts featuring his vivid imagery.

The Sportrait Team would like to introduce Tony Villani from XPE Sports. Tony has worked with many professional athletes to prepare for the next level. We at Sportrait couldn’t be more excited at the opportunity to work alongside Tony and XPE Sports to help you “Get to the next level!”
Tony started his education at Clemson University in South Carolina and attended graduate school at The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. It was there that he received a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and graduated in the top of his class. His thesis was published by The European Journal of Applied Physiology and dealt with the benefits of exhaustive interval training. During this time, he interned with NHL’s Washington Capitals and was set to help the Washington Wizards prior the NBA lockout. From Washington, D.C. Tony moved to Orlando, Florida and quickly obtained a job helping the Head Strength Coach of the Orlando Magic for a basketball season. From there, his experience led him to Boca Raton, Florida where he became the Director of Human Performance at Cris Carter’s FAST Program. While at FAST he focused on sport specific speed, agility, and strength training. He helped prepare numerous NFL Combine athletes and professional athletes from all sports for their particular needs. During the spring of 2002, Tony utilized his experiences and created XPE, Inc. while relocating to Atlanta, GA. In the fall of 2009, Tony relocated XPE Sports to South Florida.

Pro Surfer and Fin-S Tech founder Scott Posner is from Delray Beach Florida. Scott is currently sponsored by Electric Visual, Lost, Atwater, Island Water Sports and Vestal Watches. Scott is one of the founders of Fin-S Tech and he is proud to be a supporter of the Sportrait project and it’s vision.

Fin-S pronounced “fi-ness”, was built by the two Posner brothers: The WQS surfer, Scott, and the engineer, Chad. The product was developed with one simple question in mind, “What can we do to bring surfing to the next level?”. Knowing that the current fin systems are time consuming and tedious to use, they sought to make it better. Years of research and development coupled with the help of pros and top shapers around the globe lead to something simply ground-breaking. They created a unique tool-less fin system which utilizes their patented SpringLock™ technology. You are no longer bound to fin keys or tools and only left with surfing. Fin-S is fast, easy to use, durable, and maintains a tight connection to your board. This enables a confident experience in any surf condition. Fin-S will give your surfing experience a whole new light. We believe in our technology and want to share it with the surfing world.
